Destination guide design does not always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, the most effective approach is to work with an existing structure and update the content so it remains accurate, relevant, and useful. That was exactly the focus of our recent work for IGY Marinas, updating the Portisco destination guide in preparation for the 2026 season.
IGY Marinas operates a global network of premium marinas, supporting superyachts and leisure vessels across Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, and beyond. Known for consistency, service standards, and location-led experiences, IGY destination guides play an important role in helping visitors understand not just the marina itself, but the wider destination around it.
For this project, the destination guide design framework was already well established. Our role was to refresh and update the content, ensuring information was current, imagery reflected the destination accurately, and the guide continued to feel relevant for future seasons. The update focused on clarity, flow, and consistency, allowing the imagery and location to take centre stage.

Portisco Marina sits on Sardinia’s north-east coast, ideally positioned between Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo. Sheltered by natural land formations, the marina offers a calm and secure base while remaining well connected to some of Sardinia’s most celebrated cruising grounds. It is also within easy reach of Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, making it practical as both an arrival and departure point.
The destination guide design update highlights what makes Portisco such a compelling stop:
Clear turquoise waters and protected bays directly accessible from the marina
Close proximity to the La Maddalena Archipelago, ideal for day trips and extended cruising
White sand beaches such as Rena Bianca nearby
The village of San Pantaleo, known for its local markets, artists, and relaxed Sardinian character
Access to the wider Costa Smeralda, while retaining a quieter, more understated atmosphere

By updating the content rather than reworking the design, the guide remains familiar to returning visitors while continuing to serve new audiences. This approach to destination guide design ensures longevity, accuracy, and ease of use, without unnecessary reinvention.
The result is a refreshed, practical guide that supports the Portisco Marina experience and helps visitors plan their time both on and off the water with confidence.
