Tabloid Newsletter Design: Hot Off The Press

The first edition of Paramount Press has officially landed and it’s been a really exciting one to bring to life.

This is a brand new quarterly, a 12-page tabloid that brings together product launches, technology highlights, industry updates and company news from the Paramount Pools team. It’s designed to keep partners and customers informed, inspired and a little ahead of what’s coming next.

Pulling everything together was one of those moments where you realise just how much is happening behind the scenes.

There’s always a steady flow of new ideas, developments and updates across the business, so this felt like a great opportunity to bring it all into one place. It quickly became a collaborative effort too, working closely with the team to gather content, shape the stories and make sure everything felt clear and relevant.

From a tabloid newsletter design point of view, it was also about thinking carefully about how people would actually read it.

Then came the design, which is where it all started to take shape.

It was about finding the right balance, making sure the content felt easy to read and engaging, while still doing justice to some of the more technical details. We wanted it to feel considered but not overworked, something you could pick up and actually enjoy flicking through.

One thing we kept coming back to was the decision to make this a printed piece.

In such a digital-first world, there’s something quite refreshing about having something physical to hold. It naturally slows you down a bit, encourages you to spend more time with the content and take it in properly. It’s also the kind of thing that can sit on a desk or be passed around, rather than disappearing into a feed.

The aim with Paramount Press is simple, to create something that keeps people informed while also showcasing what’s happening across the industry in a more tangible way.

Now that the first edition is out in the world, it’s exciting to see how it develops. There’s plenty of room to evolve it, try new ideas and build on what we’ve started.

We can’t wait to see what new, and probably quite fun, things the pool industry introduces in 2026.
