We love seeing our designs for Southampton’s Half Term Ghost Trail promoted across social media and Southampton city.
Go! Southampton asked the Glow team to create a logo for this latest seasonal activity, which offers a free, spooky, kid-friendly walking trail around Southampton city centre to search for the lost Tudor ghost who has escaped from Tudor House. On completion of the trail, every child taking part receives a prize!
Glow was asked to create a logo that included The Bargate, Southampton’s medieval landmark, with a spooky, kid-friendly and fun twist. The ghoulish font and black, green and orange colour scheme, along with themed vectors of ghosts, bats and a pumpkin make for a truly spooktacular logo (see what we did there?).
Once the logo design was confirmed, we went on to create a downloadable map that’ll be used during the trail and an advert to promote the event. The spooky and fun style continues with a Halloween-themed background and ghost icons used as locators on the map.
Join in the fun!
Using the Glow-designed map, participants will track down a ghost that has escaped from the Tudor House Museum. Following the map around Old Southampton and stopping off at places the ghost has visited, you will find the hidden letters and meet some spooky characters along the way!
Find all the clues to spell out the final location and where children can collect their free prize.
The Ghost Trail runs from 26th October to 3rd November. Maps are being delivered to local schools across the city and are also available to collect from Westquay and The Marlands shopping centres in Southampton city. You can also download a printable map and get more information from the Facebook Event page.
So, if you’re looking for something to do this half term or are already planning on being in Southampton city centre, why not get involved.
