Why Marketing for Logistics Companies Needs More Than a Website

If you work in transport and logistics, chances are marketing has never quite had the attention your operations do. It’s understandable – you’re busy keeping goods moving – but it means a lot of genuinely great businesses are underselling themselves. Good marketing for logistics companies isn’t about jumping on trends, it’s about building a strategy that reflects the reliability, scale and people behind the operation, and then choosing the right formats to bring that to life.

We recently worked with Meachers Global Logistics on a project that shows what this looks like in practice. Meachers had a brilliant idea and all the footage to bring it to life – our job was helping shape it into a finished piece that fitted into their wider marketing. Rather than starting with “let’s make a video”, we looked at what Meachers needed to communicate – reliability, teamwork, scale – and video turned out to be the strongest way to say it. The result follows their supply chain from the first scan in the office, through the warehouse floor, out into the yard, and onto the road with one of their drivers, closing on a simple, honest line: delivered by one team.

That’s the thinking behind good marketing for logistics companies. It starts with strategy – who you’re talking to, what you want them to feel, where they’ll actually see it – and video is often the format that carries that message furthest. A well-placed piece of video content can work harder on LinkedIn, on your website, in pitch decks and even in recruitment than pages of copy ever could.

At The Glow Studio, we build marketing strategies for transport and logistics businesses that put the right content in the right place, with video as one of the strongest tools in the mix. Whether you’re starting with a clear plan or just a hard drive full of footage, we’d love to help you turn it into marketing that actually moves the needle.
