We recently created an illustrative style Diversity and Inclusion Programme for Knights Brown and we are absolutely loving the design! The 16-page digital document outlines the construction company’s culture, commitments, and priorities, along with tables, charts, stats, and playful vector illustrations (all of which use the distinctive Knights Brown brand colour palette of course).
For the Glow designers, this type of project is a definite favourite! Taking plain content and transforming into something that is so much more visually interesting and inviting to read is such a rewarding task. It is also something that is so necessary to ensure the target audience of the programme finds the content easy to follow and digest and is engaged whilst reading.
We love reviewing the initial ideas from our clients and bringing them to life through well considered and eye-catching design. We have used a diverse range of characters throughout the document to celebrate different backgrounds and communities, something that Knights Brown is very keen to portray. Incorporating vector illustrations into a design adds a real sense of personality to a brand and is a great way to bring a different styling to branded materials (opposed to just using photographic visuals to accompany text). The possibilities of illustration design are endless, so they are a fantastic way to create customised and specific visuals.
Other features within the document include pie charts which help to display data clearly and attractively, as well as pull out quotes and prominent statistics to draw attention to significant information.
