In the studio this week, it’s been back to school for Glow! Well more so, us as the teachers, in having the delight of welcoming an intern, year 10 student Lucie Hill, from Swanmore College to the team.
As part of our commitment and passion in helping school, college and university leavers progress in their skills we were only too pleased to offer Lucie a weeks work experience in the studio, and show her the ropes of what it’s really like to work in a creative agency.
Lucie would like to study graphic design so was keen to learn new skills and work on a live project, using our latest InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop packages. With a natural creative flair and innate photography skills, Lucie quickly grasped the brief, supplied by her mum’s workplace – Life Education Wessex – thanks mum and we have been really impressed.
In just a week, going from having never used the design packages before, Lucie has created a brilliant flyer and a Glow postcard. We think they are great and a definite indication that graphic design and the creative industry would be fitting careers.
And we think Lucie liked her stay here too…
“Coming to Glow as an intern has been a great experience as I have learnt the basics and now know that I definitely want to take Graphic Design as an A-Level. The people here are kind and overall fantastic and I hope when I’m older I have a work team that is as brilliant as the team are at Glow”
Go Lucie, we wish you all the best!
