In the studio this week, we’ve updated the design for the Knights Brown careers booklet. A company with strong values, Knights Brown continually seeks to provide, update and promote its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community projects.
Knights Brown is a privately owned, full service, regional construction business with specialist energy sector capability delivered nationwide. Its vision is to be a company people aspire to work for, that always endeavours to deliver the best experience for its customers.
Knights Brown’s ambition is to provide graduates with the skills and beliefs that will enable them to play an active part in the success of the company. At Glow, we’re passionate about helping interns and graduates progress their careers and are proud to share these values with our client.
The design itself features a series of large imagery of current team members taking part in different community projects. We’ve also included a collection of infographics to emphasise some pretty impressive statistics about the company and the result of the voluntary work they have completed.
Graduate, trainee and apprenticeship programmes
Currently, almost 10% of the Knights Brown team are in graduate, trainee or apprenticeship roles. Knights Brown has an excellent track record of taking on year in industry placement students and a significant number of them return to fill graduate positions.
In collaboration with Fareham College, Knights Brown has helped create a unique bespoke apprenticeship programme, which is targeted at preparing young people and adults for careers in civil engineering occupations.
Volunteering programme
Knights Brown encourages all employees to get involved with their communities. Its employer supported volunteering programme allows employees to take a day’s paid leave to volunteer with an organisation they care about. Not only does its programme improve employees’ skills, it also promotes a better work life balance.
For the past four years, Knights Brown has partnered with Tony Gee, a consulting engineer, to each send five employees on a Bridges to Prosperity programme. These builds have taken place in Rwanda and Uganda. This year, the team went to Eastern Uganda, to build a 64m suspended footbridge.
We love working with Knights Brown and admire their ambitions and values to create a happy and successful work environment.
