In the Studio This Week: An Animation for QFactorial

In the studio this week, we’re loving the new animation we have produced for QFactorial, providers of quality management consultancy services.

We created the animation using Adobe After Effects as part of a promotional campaign to launch 56 oversized conversation cards, we also designed, earlier in the year. The cards feature a historical quote, along with a topic or question for discussion. The premise is that the cards can be used as great ice breakers to talk about quality and other business-related subjects. They also act as a brilliant training aid for conferences and mind mapping exercises on video calls.

The animation has great appeal, as it’s fun, impactful and is jammed full of bite sized, easy to digest info about the product. With catchy music, a strong brand identity plus fun animated transitions; it lends itself to being used as a powerful communication tool.

The product design of the cards is a combination of bold colour blocks, dynamic shapes, playful elements and areas of white space to provide a fresh and contemporary feel. Decorative features, such as large question marks were also used, not only to improve the aesthetic, but also to prompt conversation and to aid the approachable and playful feel of the design. In addition to the cards and animation, we also created a branded box for the cards to sit in, which involved producing a net with an eye-catching wraparound design.
