I was thoroughly impressed by Adobe Firefly, and my excitement grew when I discovered that they had incorporated its Generative AI Fill function into the latest Beta version of Photoshop. If you haven’t already, head over to CC and download the beta to experience it for yourself.
Here are some examples of what you can achieve using Generative AI:
Object Removal:
With Generative Fill, you can effortlessly eliminate unwanted items from an image. Simply select the object you want to remove, provide a text prompt explaining the removal, and Generative Fill will intelligently fill the region with content that blends into the surrounding image.
Object Addition:
Enhance your photos by adding new elements. For instance, in a landscape photograph, you can include trees, houses, or other objects to improve the composition. Generative Fill will generate possibilities that seamlessly merged into the image.
Image Extension:
Expand the boundaries of an image, also known as out painting. This feature is particularly useful when you want to enlarge an image without distorting or stretching the existing information.
Background Creation:
Edit or add backgrounds to your photographs. By providing a text prompt describing the desired backdrop, such as “sunset beach” or “city skyline,” Generative Fill will produce options that blend perfectly with the foreground content.
Creative Exploration:
Use multiple text prompts to explore various possibilities and generate multiple editing alternatives. This allows you to make quick changes and visualise different concepts, expanding the creative options.
